Hello Everyone,

So Ben and I were lucky enough to go see the best game of the football season. We got to go see the Utes vs BYU. We had a great time at the tailgate party and at the Game. Ben and I were so excited that the Utes won...Go Utes. And this week we found out that we found out the Utes get to the Sugar Bowl. Yea!

So Ben's mom Lori also came to the game with us, and she has not been to a football for years. So she kept saying she felt 23 years old again. We had a lot of good friends at the game with us, including both of his brothers. Hope all is well with everyone.

Halloween2008/Ben and I one year later

Hey everyone,

So the weather here is pretty stromy, so I am staying in the house today. Fall is over I think. For the last week nothing really new. Ben and I have been just working as usual.

I forgot I did not get to update you on Halloween. It was a great day. We went to Kayc and Lizzie's and watched Alicea trick-or-treat. She was so super cute. She actually walked into one of the houses while saying trick-or-treat. It was the candy that made her do it. lol. She had a great time. After that we met up with my friend Holly and went to our annual Halloween party at a friends house. It was so packed. We says Micheal Phelps, and yes he was wearing his speedo. Ben dressed up as the Burgerking King and I was a queen. What a great night..

This weekend is our one year aniversary. I cannot believe it has already been a year. We were talking the other day, about our first date and how nervous we both were to meet each other (in case you forgot it was a blind date). It was funny to think back about how wer started out and how fast things have changed since then. We had a good laugh about the first time we met. Something I guess I wont ever forgot. Love is a good thing.

Ben and I are go to celebrate but nothing to big. We are going to hang out with Kayc and Lizzie tomorrow. Lizzie's birthday is tomorrow. Happy Birthday.

Well I hope you all have a great and a great weekend.

pumpkin and dinner

So last night When Ben got off work, he made an amazing dinner. Halibut oscur. It is a Halibut filet with crab and aspargus. It was super yummy.
After dinner even though it was midnight we craved pumpkins. He did the spider one and I did the bat. We didnt get a picture of both of us and the pumpkins cause we did not have a self timer on the camera. o-well. You can tell Ben's photo taking skills are off, he chopped off my head. lol.

Hey everyone,

Once again just staying busy working. I guess it is a busy time for having little babies. I guess if you think about it was babies delivered now are from end of Jan till to the being of Feb. It must have been a cold winter. lol.

Well two weekends ago, Ben and I got to go to the Real (our soccer team) game at the new stadium. I have not been to a soccer game before and I have to admit it was a good game. Kayc's work was doing a work party and he had extra tickets so Ben and I got to go. Cant wait to go again next year. What a game.

Last weekend Kayc and I took Alicea to a local trick or treating event downtown. Alicea was dressed as a Doctor. Super cute. She kept telling me that I was a nurse that helps doctors. How smart is she. Alicea was super shy and would not say trick or treat unless she was turned away from the person. She still had fun. This weekend Ben and I going to go to Kayc and Lizzie's house for a halloween pre-celebration. We are going to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday. Wow, her being 50 makes me feel old... Anyways we are going to eat some chili and go around the neighborhood trick or treating. Then Ben and I are going to his aunts house to say hi then off to Party. Ben has a really funny costume so it is should be fun.

Ben and I are going to crave pumpkins tonight. We will see who has better carving skills it might be me :)

Hope everyone has a great Halloween week. Enjoy the holiday.

Oct fun

Hey Everyone,

I know it has been awhile since the last blog, I have been super busy With work. I guess it is a busy time to have kids. If you think back 9 mo it is right between christmas and Valentines day :) I am still loving my job. I am getting along with all the people at work including the doctors. I sometimes struggle working 5 12 hour night shift, I feel as though I never get to see anyone, I am sleeping when everyone else is up living their life. My body is starting to get use to working long night shifts.

Ben and I got to go to the Utes vs Orgeon State game. Wow what a good game. As you can tell we won, look at the crazy crowd on the field. We could not rush the field because in the mist of celebration Ben jumped up on the bench and twisted his ankle so we are watching from above. That was a long walk home that night. LOL. All the boys in the background are Ben's friends. I was the only girl for some of the game. But no worries I fit right in.

Lizzie is loving being back at school. She is teaching in a rougher part of the city (glendale) which she finds more rewarding. She always has a good story to tell. I guess her third graders like to swear a lot. Hopefully with Lizzie as a teacher things can change. I have high hopes for her new job.

Alicea is getting so big. She talks so much and has started to memorize certain books, so now she reads the books to you. One of her favorites is "Hop on Pop." She is also learning how to tease you and knows how to be mean to her mom..Terrible twos..Good thing Lizzie has a lot of patience. Her favorite naughty thing to do is as soon as she gets down from the table before Kayc gets her hands washed she will run to the couch and try and wipe her dirty hands on the couch because Lizzie always tells her not too. So naugthy.

This year Alicea, Lizzie and I got to make Halloween sugar cookies. Which is our new tradition. Alicea did such a good job. She love the purple frosting too. Her favorite shape was a fish (not halloweenie) and a football for ben. That is all she kept saying a football for ben..Super cute. (pictures for the cookie day will be up soon, just waiting for Kayc to send them to me) Alicea was planning on being Dora for Halloween got the costume and all, but then she changed her mind and now wants to be a doctor. I will keep you posted on the final costume :) Ben this year is going to be the Burgerking King. I don't know if you have seen any of the burgerking commerials but it is almost scary. He of course thinks it is super funny. Boys will be Boys. I am still trying to think of a costume.
Well I better go take my nap before work. Hope everyone is enjoying this fall weather.

Hey everyone:
So this weekend Ben and I got to go to the opening Utes games. It was Utah vs. UNLV. We won. YAY! It was a great game. We had a lot of good friends at the game so it made the game even more fun. Our next game that we are going to go to is Utah vs. Oregon state. Go Utes!!!

This week We have Ben's softball game. The boys have not won any games yet, but they are getting better. Cross your fingers they will win this week. Kayc said that this "non-competitive" league is more competitive then their coed league. I guess when it is only boys playing testosterone takes effect. O-well Ben says he is having fun and Kayc is too. Hopefully next year I can play in the coed league with Kayc and Lizze and Ben too.

So we have no big plans for this week, just working and Ben has school. Nothing to0 fun. I hope everyone is having a great week. Remember to Smile.

Love, Katrina

Settled in

Hey everyone,

So not much has changed. I am just working my butt off. Ben just started school, he is taking a nutrition class and a spinning class. He is hoping to get in shape to keep up with Kayc next summer on the road bike. Kayc and Ben are playing softball. They just had their second game and they have lost both games :( But they are having fun out there. The team is new, and no one really has played together, so it is taking some time to get use to each other. Between me working so much, Ben working, going to school and softball we are staying super busy.

I am almost unpacked, I just have the spare bedroom left, but I am not probably going to get that done soon. I am trying not to stress about. I will get it done, soon though. I finally got my picture hung up on the walls, so the new place is not looking so bare. It is starting to feel like home.

Lizzie went back to teaching. This was her first week as a third grade teacher. She made it through it alive. She is staying busy getting back into the swing of things. Ben and I have been helping with babysitting, Alicea is transitioning well through the "mommy not being home all the time stage." Alicea and I got to go to Kayden (Holly's son) 5th birthday. He had snakes, bug and spiders there. So this is as close as Alicea and I dared to get. All the other grown-ups were holding this huge snake. I kept my distance. Alicea was brave enought to hold a spider with the help of Holly (I was to creeped out.) Check out the picture of Kayden being brave and holding the yellow snake. Wow....

Hope everyone has a great Labor weekend. I am sending my love out. muah (kisses)

new place

Hey everyone,

I am almost all the way moved into my new place. I am have just a small stuff to go get from the old apt. It is kind of sad to move out of the little apt. I changed so much and went through so much while living there. It is for the better, though. The new place is coming together. I just need to put some finishing touches on it. So besides that much has not changed over the week. I have been just busy moving. I work over the next ten days. Then we have Ben's family party/camping trip that we are going to. I am working hard and playing hard.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Bear Lake Trip

Hey everyone,

so Ben and I just got back from a long weekend trip to Bear Lake. It was a great little get away. One of our friends has a cabin that we stayed in. there was about 8-10 of us up there, we all had a great time. The water felt so great. We did not have a boat or any fun toys to play on but I think I found my new favorite sport. LACROSE. Our friend Matt, is way into the sport and was giving me some pointers on how to catch and throw. I got to say it is pretty fun once you pick up on it. I have some amazing pictures of the great sunset that I will post later. I am glad to be home and to work. I am working 4- 12 hour night shifts this week so I am staying pretty busy.

This Friday I am planning on moving into my new place. It is a 2 bedroom duplex, with new carpet and tile. It is super nice. It is located in Murray off of 5900 south. Near the Starbucks for all of you that know where that is. I will send out my new address later. I can't wait to be in something nicer, that costs the same as my small apt.

Well i better get back to work, watch for the new pictures of the lake and of my new place. Hope everyone has a great week and remember to smile because life is great.

Weekly updates

So my good friend Kaysha started her own blog to keep her family informed, which I thought was a great idea for my friends and family. So I am going to attempt to keep everyone update to date. So here we go.
This week has been one full of work and searching for a new place. My lease is up at my apartment so I have been looking all over the slc valley to see what is open. I am thinking that it is time for a change. Something new. Ben and I are doing great for all of you dying to ask but havent. We have been together now for 8 months. Wow, how time flys when you are having fun. :) We are planning on going to Bear Lake for the 24th of July next week. I am super excited to go hang out by the lake for a few days. Soak in the sun. Well I hope everyone has a great week. I will keep you posted on anything new.
PS I can't remember who I told and who I didn't but Lizzie is going back to teaching. She got a great job and she seems excited to get back to what she loves, not saying that she didn't love being home with Alicea.
