July to now SLC to Fort Worth

Warning to the wise this might be a long post....Don't say I didn't warn you.
As you all know Ben and I got Married about 3 months ago. Yeah! We have survived three months without killing each other. just kidding. We had an amazing honeymoon to Las Vegas (thanks Aunt Joy) and then we made our way up to Jackson Hole (Thanks Natalie and Gramps). It was the best week of our lives. The Wedding was prefect and went off without any problems. We had so many people that came in from out of town (Thanks Lee, Eric, Rickie, Nina, TIM, Lucy, Marilyn Dick, Casey Jones, Aaron, Cam and Shai, Andrea, Brittany and Dave. I don't think I missed anyone: It meant a lot to us for you guys to come). Everyone who came made the wedding a night to remember. So Thanks everyone who came.

After the honeymoon was over and the guests had gone home...Ben and I started to talk about doing traveling Nursing so that we could travel around (vacation) and work at the same. This is something I have wanted to do since I graduated from nursing school. So to have Ben on board I was excited. We started to list the places we WOULD go. Of Course on the top of the list was Hawaii. But we had other places on there like Portland, Seattle, Florida, Dallas, Napa Valley. We wanted to go to fun places and places we might know someone. Well after discussing we applied for a job in Cleubrne Texas. It is about 33 miles outside of Fort Worth. And to my surprise we got the job and they said come down in two weeks. So that is what Ben and I did. We packed up our house we put our stuff in storage, loaded down the cars and we drove to Fort Worth.

Ben and I took three days to drive to Fort Worth. We Went through Denver then Amarillo and off to Fort Worth. We were greeted in Fort Worth (Where we are living because Cleburne is a small farm town) by his good friend Cam. Who helped us move in. My Agency pays for a furnished apartments which we were stoked about. but the bad part was the boys had to carry the boxes to the 3rd floor UGH!. To our surprise our apartment is super nice/cozy and we are happy to be here trying something new.
Ben started his job with Diamond Wireless last week and he is already loving it. Ben is working in a mall in Arlington sell cell phones. He is working with his friends Cam and Dan. I will start orientation tomorrow. I am nervous but I think I will be fine. I will keep everyone post on how it goes. I am back to working nights but I think I can handle that. If I am getting travel and have a great place to stay, I can handle working nights for 3 months. Oh yeah, that is what everyone is asking......My contract is 13 weeks longs. Which at the end of the 13 weeks we can move to the next place (Florida) or we can extend her in the Fort Worth Dallas area. Ben is already wanting to extend, but I told him we will cross that bridge when we get there. lol
I am finally starting to get around Fort Worth/Dallas without having a panic attack. These freeways/highways/expressways/tollways. I never know where I am. Thank goodness for the google maps on my cell phone I would be going crazy (literally) without it.

Well now that I have talked everyone's ears off have a good day and I hope this answers everyone's questions.

Hey everyone,
Here are the engagement photos. Kayc was nice enough to take them for us. I thought he did a good job these are just a couple that we really liked. It was hot and super sunny so some of the photos our eyes are almost closed. Let me know what you think.
Tomorrow is my dress fitting. Yippee. Last time I tried it on it was way too big so we are hoping they can alter it down and make it look good. cross your fingers for me. Well the invitations are in so hopefully in a couple weeks we will be able to get them all stuffed, addressed and mailed-out. I am now just working on the little details and I have a lot of good friends helping me out (thanks girls).
Hope all is well, enjoy the photos some of them are not serious photos just fun ones. Vote on your favorites.

Hey everyone,

I am happy to report Ben is doing great after his surgery. He even got up this morning and went to class. What! I was sleeping for days I swear. I guess I don't remember my gall bladder surgery that well We have been joking around about him and I having making scars now. Lol I know we are dorks.

Wedding plans are going well. I ordered to invitations and will being getting them soon :) I am going to order the cake tomorrow or at least look at 100 pictures and styles of cakes. lol Also, this weekend my bride's maids are getting together to try on their dresses and order them. I can't wait to see all my friends dressed up. I am also going to pay my dress off. Yea! I can't wait. I am hiding it at Lizzie and Kayc's house so Ben can't sneak a peek. The dress will stay there until my dress fitting on May 2. The wedding is just right around the corner (3 mo from this week). Wow this year is going by fast. Ben and I are hopefully going to go register this weekend. I think we have decided to register at Mountain America bank and Target (my favorite store). I will keep you all posted on that detail. Hope this helps all the questions everyone has about the wedding and the wedding planning. If not let me know. I can talk wedding all day and all night.

Hope all is well with everyone. I will keep you updated on future wedding plans. Can't wait to get everyone together and celebrate our wedding. It is going to be a great time.

Hey Everyone,

Just a little update with the wedding plans...As everyone knows we are getting married on July 15, 2010. We are excited for this date. We are having a very small wedding but it is going to be full of love and that is what matters.

This week I made some progress on the wedding. I finally found a dress and put it on lay way. It is a really beautiful dress. I feel great in the dress. I can't wait to wear it. I also decided on a some super cute bride maids dresses. I can't wait to see my girls all in them at the same time. I think my website says it is 143 days till the wedding wow it is right around the corner. I still have a lot to plan but I am getting things going.

Besides the wedding much isn't going on. Ben and I are just working our butts off trying to save money for the wedding. We have also started to work out together and it is fun to go to gym with him. He is a great motivator and he won't let me slack off. What a great boyfriend he is to help me get in shape.

I will try to keep to the wedding site updated. Keep checking the website for more updates.

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week. I am in the process of making a wedding website to keep everyone updated on the status of the wedding. Below is the link (let me know if it doesn't work). I think you can also go to TheKnot.com and search by our names. At this point the website is still in progress, but there is some stuff filled out right now.
Love everyone.

First of the year post

Hi everyone,

One of my many new year resolutions is to keep up on my blog (ie keep in touch with family and friends better). So here I am posting my first blog of the new year.

Ben and I had a great new years which we spent with friends. We went to our friend Brandon's house and enjoyed a great party. I was lucky enough to have friend Brittany in town, so she was able to ring in the new year with us. love you Brit. The new year's day (after recovering) I got the chance to learn how to make homemade wontons and hand rolled sushi. Such a great night (thanks brit again). We started the new year off right.

Ben got a new job up in Park City called Zoom he is loving it all ready. He started out as a buser and they are already wanting to train him as a server. The Park City restaurant business is hard to get into, so Ben was lucky enough to slide into a great job. Ben is excited because the restaurant is owned by Robert Redford and with Sundance coming I guess the restaurant is the hot spot to go.

Wedding plans.....Wedding are harder than I thought to plan. I have gone to look at a couple of reception centers (4 to be exact) in SLC but everywhere is pretty expensive. So we might borrow someone's backyard. There are so many little details you don't realize but a lot of time goes into planning a wedding. I hope I am up to the challenge. Don't be surprised if I just say we are going to Vegas for a cheap wedding and fun. Just kidding I am not to that point yet. The only thing we do know is we want to celebrate with our family and friends....I will keep everyone posted on any further developments in the wedding planning...

I guess last subject is my back, I am waiting for a referral to a back specialist and then we will see what he recommends for the 2 bulgy disks. I hope not anything that will put we out of commission too long. My family and I (and some friends) just started a biggest loser challenge. It is 13 weeks long. Cash prize. I hope I can win it. I need to cash. Lol It is suppose to be to help motivate everyone to loss weight. I hope it is a success. I will also keep everyone posted and the progress of the Jolley's Biggest Loser!!!

That is it for now. Love everyone.

Enjoy this great day!! (it is only the 4th one of the new Year!!)
