First of the year post

Hi everyone,

One of my many new year resolutions is to keep up on my blog (ie keep in touch with family and friends better). So here I am posting my first blog of the new year.

Ben and I had a great new years which we spent with friends. We went to our friend Brandon's house and enjoyed a great party. I was lucky enough to have friend Brittany in town, so she was able to ring in the new year with us. love you Brit. The new year's day (after recovering) I got the chance to learn how to make homemade wontons and hand rolled sushi. Such a great night (thanks brit again). We started the new year off right.

Ben got a new job up in Park City called Zoom he is loving it all ready. He started out as a buser and they are already wanting to train him as a server. The Park City restaurant business is hard to get into, so Ben was lucky enough to slide into a great job. Ben is excited because the restaurant is owned by Robert Redford and with Sundance coming I guess the restaurant is the hot spot to go.

Wedding plans.....Wedding are harder than I thought to plan. I have gone to look at a couple of reception centers (4 to be exact) in SLC but everywhere is pretty expensive. So we might borrow someone's backyard. There are so many little details you don't realize but a lot of time goes into planning a wedding. I hope I am up to the challenge. Don't be surprised if I just say we are going to Vegas for a cheap wedding and fun. Just kidding I am not to that point yet. The only thing we do know is we want to celebrate with our family and friends....I will keep everyone posted on any further developments in the wedding planning...

I guess last subject is my back, I am waiting for a referral to a back specialist and then we will see what he recommends for the 2 bulgy disks. I hope not anything that will put we out of commission too long. My family and I (and some friends) just started a biggest loser challenge. It is 13 weeks long. Cash prize. I hope I can win it. I need to cash. Lol It is suppose to be to help motivate everyone to loss weight. I hope it is a success. I will also keep everyone posted and the progress of the Jolley's Biggest Loser!!!

Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas everyone...and a Happy New Years.
Ben and I had such a good Christmas. We had the chance to spend it will both families which was a treat. We wanted to share with you that we are now engaged. Yep that is right Ben and I are planning on getting Married this summer.The ring is extremely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I am so excited to start planning a wedding, but nervous at the same time there is a lot to plan. We had a few things planned but nothing set in stone. Can't wait!!

On a different note, a quick up date about my back....I got my MRI results back I have two bulgy disks (L4-L5 which is touching the nerve root and L5-S1 which is just bulgy). I am waiting for worker's Comp to approve to go see a back specialist to get an epidural (what the other doc. is recommending). I am going to wait till I talk to the specialist before I go and do anything, though. I am hoping to be able to back to normal life in a couple weeks. This has really thrown me a loop. I will keep you posted on any further developments.

So I have been so busy lately I havent even wrote a good update. so here it goes.....

Last month I got the chance to be my BFF nurse during here labor. It was a great experience as a friend and a RN. Olivia and Kaysha did so well. Kaysha I cant believe baby Olivia is already 1 month old. Thanks for letting me be apart of your special day (days). Here are some photos of that awesome day.

Next for all that dont know, we have been so excited to let everyone know Kayc and Lizzie are having a baby boy. The baby is expected in Dec. What a Christmas present. Lizzie is doing so well. Lizzie is taking it easy to prevent any premature labor. I think she is loving me being here sister in law (she gets free knowledge anytime she calls). Cant wait for my Nephew. Yea!!! Alicea is handling the news of a new baby coming really well. She talks about him coming and seems excited. She is even drawing will sidewalk chalk the new family. (she is also drawing Lizzie with wide hips and big breasts...Kids are so funny).

Next we just got home from Kaua'i. We had such a great time. We were there for a full 10 days. The flight was long but I managed it well. On the island we got to go on an ATV tour, a kayake tour, and a raft tour. We snorkels a couple times and even got to see dolphins. I loved the water. I think I was suppose to be a fish. I swam and snorkels a lot. I think my favorite new thing is snorkeling. The one thing that blew me away the most was the sunsets. They were amazingly beautiful. I wish I could see that view every night. (dont worry I will send pics).

Ben and I are back to Utah and hit the ground running. We are both went back to work the next day and have not stopped since. Our next big trip is going to be to Oregon (yep Lee you read that right). Ben and I are planning to go to Oregon in Sept for the Utah vs. Oregon Football game. So everyone in Oregon we need to get together and have dinner. It is going to be a super short trip since we just got back from Hawaii. I think it is going to be a weekend trip. I will keep you posted on that. The game is on Sat Sept 19, and we will probably fly home Sept 20 unless I can figure out how to stay for an extra day or two and make Ben go home. We will see. Portwoods are you guys in town that weekend?? Everyone in Oregon you guys haven't met Ben yet and we have almost been together for two years. It is about time that he meets the other half of my family.

Hello everyone:

I cant believe it is already June. We are already half through the year. Where does the time go? Ben and I have been busy as usual. Ben just started a new job this week. He is working in a call center, hopefully it is better then serving for him. He is still going to pick up a few shifts a week at Market St. Grill but not many. He says he is really liking his new job, he said it is going to be a good one. So we will see.

Ben and I have been spending a lot time over at his dad's house getting it ready to sell. It was kind of a sad day when we saw the "for sale" sign go up in their yard. I guess Ben and I were thinking if he sold it in a couple of years we would buy it. It is such a nice house. Plus it is the house ben and his brothers grew up. It also has a nice backyard. We are crossing our fingers that it wont sell. But with the location and the amazing view we both know better. o-well.

Well coming in 2 weeks I am going to start working day shifts. Yea! I am so excited. I have been working straight night for 1 year now. It is going to be great. Ben's new job is during the day, so we are going to be on the same work schedule. I think it is going to be hard to adjust to working day, but my body is going to love the day shifts. I will sleep better and be able to get a good work out schedule going. Cant wait.

Last but not least my brother Jarred is back in jail. We dont know why this time (I found out online, you can go to the jails website and search for a person and there Jarred was). It looks like he has been there since 5/20. So almost a month. Kayc and I found out this weekend, so we are hoping this weekend we can go visist him. I will keep everyone posted on that one.

I am still alive

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the lack of updates, lately. Ben and I have been really busy. The first update I found my camera. I was so excited. But I havent taken any new pictures yet don't worry I will.

So We are now postponing our Hawaii trip, Ben's dad got sick. He has Bell's Palsy and Hunt's Ramsey syndrome, but it is effecting a couple facial nerves. It has been almost 3 weeks of running him to appt and surgeries. I am hoping he is on the mend but the doctor stated it might take up to 6 months if he does heal. So we are now going to Hawaii in August, we are hoping he will be better by then.

Next, My brother Jarred got of the hospital after 4 years. He was living in a half way house. But they have not seen him in 6 days. So right now we dont know where he is again.

Between the two of our families Ben and I are staying super busy. I am starting to plan something fun for Ben's birthday in May. We are thinking of going camping. Ben only has 4 weeks I think of this semester. He is so excited to be done. I totally understand. Been there done that.
